I’m fairly sure this worked when I first set up WPML, but now in the settings the currency conversion will not sync and it throws the error:

error_code: 105 - error_info: Access Restricted - Your current Subscription Plan does not support Source Currency Switching.

This is for the free account and free API from CurrencyLayer. GBP base currency which I think is acceptable for CurrencyLayer

Edit: On second check maybe it doesn’t support GBP as base currency. That sucks, I thought it was the only one that did

Hi,

Your test website doesn’t have a WooCommerce install, so WPMLMC doesn’t work on it currently.

We leave all plugins disabled, so that the user can configure as similar as possible to their website.

I have enabled currencylayer on that test site with my API key and it returns the same error. Although it is not obvious on the CurrencyLayer website I think you may have to pay to use anything other than USD as your default currency. This seems to be the case with all of the APIs you use. Given my site is very low traffic it is uneconomical for me to pay for an API service, plenty of other plugins seems to be able to pull their data from publicly available sources. I have found it easier to switch currency plugins to one that does not use these restricted APIs.

Hello @dyevans,

I checked and It seems that the source currency for CurrencyLayer?is EUR. If you want a different source currency (e.g. USD), you need to have at least the Basic plan (paid).

May I ask you which API you are using now? Maybe it’s possible to use https://openexchangerates.org/ for that.
