Currency Selector Widget

I added the currency selector widget in my sidebar. It shows the proper currency, but the selector drop down doesnt open. If I use the floating sidebar I can switch the currency and the widget changes, but I still cant use the widget to change currency. I think it is a css issue with the drop down being hidden. Is this a theme incompatibility? (Elegant Themes)
