    Hi guys,
we are just setting up Woo Viet and it seems to be doing exactly what we want – so first of all: Thanks a lot for your work!

However I have an issue that I need help with: When sending order confirmation mails, the price changes from 100.000 VND to 100.000 USD. We would like to save our customers from heart attacks and change this to VND as well, but I did not find an option to do so…
Also the total price displayed in the confirmation mail lists a flat 4 USD, even though it should be something like 4.21.
Please refer to the following screenshot: https://imgur.com/2U5RwY9

If you have any input on how to fix this I would very much appreciate it! ??

    Thanks and best regards,

    Moritz

    Hey Moritz,

    Thanks for your nice words.

Yeah, I totally understand your point. I would not forgive myself if Woo Viet caused heart attacks ??

Regarding the issue, can I know which features of Woo Viet are you enabling? A screenshot for https://your-site.com/wp-admin/admin.php?page=woo-viet is great.

    Cheers,

    Thanks for the additional info!

    I am trying to replicate.

As I see, you’re setting up VND for your store’s currency, enable Support VND for the PayPal Standard gateway?

Then, the issue happens when your customers check out via PayPal?

Also the total price displayed in the confirmation mail lists a flat 4 USD, even though it should be something like 4.21.

If so, I think the currency of all prices in the email would be VND?

    Hi Dat,
yes, exactly. Shop prices are all in VND and we only need the conversion to USD for the paypal gateway. The confirmation mail could either be in VND or in USD (if it showed the right amount with decimals). But currently it shows an item that costs 100.000 VND as 100.000 USD.
We previously also had a problem with all paypal transactions being put on hold becuase the amounts did not match but I just commented that check out of the woocommerce template according to another threat I found online. Not sure if it may be related…

    Best regards!

    Hey Mortiz,

    We can replicate the issue.

Can you send me the link to the thread you found online?

Actually, the fix for this issue is causing the issue here.

It looks it is a tradeoff as the current code for PayPal Standard is too… strict to add more filters.

We will try to work on this issue but it may take more time to find a proper solution.

Hey, can you try this fix? We’ve changed the approach so this issue and the “amount did not match” issue should be both fixed.

    1. Download https://github.com/htdat/woo-viet/archive/fix/65.zip
    2. (Optional) Rename the filename to woo-viet.zip.
    3. Remove the current Woo Viet in WP Admin -> Plugins.
    4. Upload the zip above and activate it.

    Thanks in advance.

    Hi Dat,

thanks for both of your replies! I was in Da Lat for a few days and just got back to the office today… Sorry for the delay in getting back to you…

First of all, this is the fix that I applied to get rid of the amount mismatch error: https://github.com/htdat/woo-viet/issues/37

I installed your fix and uncommented the two lines of code for the verification checks form the woocommerce files again… It seems to be working well so far! Wocommerce accepts the amounts properly and the confirmation email looks fine as well! I just tested with paypal sandbox now but will do some more testing with a live paypal account and report back. But so far this looks very! Thanks for the quick fix ??

    All the best,

Oh, hope you enjoyed Da Lat, whose atmosphere is much better than Saigon ??

Yeah, that’s more a workaround as the “fix” will be overriden each WooCommerce update.

Awesome. Feel free to report here if you notice any issue with your live PayPal.

@enablecode Would you mind sharing the test result in your production (live PayPal account)? ??

    Hi Dat,

sorry for the late reply. I still do not have confirmation from the customer… And right now we are fighting with OnePay as they insist we must install and use their own payment plugin for woocommerce. I don’t like intruducing redundancy and trust that your solution works well. Do you have any tipps on what I could do so that they finally provide our client with the necessary account details? I sent them the IPN address and told them we are using your plugin but they seem very unimpressed and have been stone-walling us for about a week now…

    Any help would be appreciated…

    All the best,

    Hi Moritz,

Sorry for the late reply here. I had a vacation and just came back.

Regarding OnePay, I am sorry that I do not have any tip to deal about it ??

However, if they insist on using their own plugin, I may consider getting rid of OnePay in Woo Viet.
