    Hello,

I’m using the geolocation currency switching (woocommerce no 3rd party plugin) and I cannot test a purchase in the PayPal Sandbox. The JS console reports the above error:

Expected currency from order api call to be USD, got GBP. Please ensure you are passing currency=GBP to the sdk URL

This has also been reported previously here:

    https://github.com/woocommerce/woocommerce-paypal-payments/issues/1368

Is there a way to resolve this issue?

    Thank you,
    Nikos

    Hello @nkonstas,

Thank you for reaching out to us, we are here to help.

As was informed on the GitHub case, we advised to reach out to the developer of the currency switcher plugin, because we believe that the issue is caused by how the currency/amount is provided to our plugin. We have other currency switching plugins (like CURCY) that do work correctly with our plugin, so we are confident that this developer should be able to find a solution for this issue.

Please let us know if this was already done and if it has been done, let us know what they responded to you. If you do need us to have a look at your specific setup, we would ask you again to open a private thread with us from here?with a copy of your WooCommerce system report so we can provide further assistance.

    Kind regards,
    Joost

    Hello @

Sorry for the confusion. I found the private engagement and see that this issue might be caused in the situation where switching currency is done via WooPayments. We will further investigate and hopefully fix this in the next release. Further details will be shared when they become available.

I have linked this thread to the bug we have opened for this, so you will get updated once details are available.

    Kind regards,
    Joost

    Hello @nkonstas,

sorry for the long wait, but I only just found out that this issue should have been resolved with the 2.6.0 release. Please verify this fix and let us know if you are still encountering this issue.

I will mark this thread as resolved, but we can reopen this, or you can open a new support request if you encounter any other issue after this release.

    Kind regards,
    Joost
