Currency Identifier per 'Price Group'

    We require functionality to be able to set a currency descriptor per ‘Price Group’. Currently it would appear that the default currency symbol is used irrespective of the price imposed.

    We need to be able to designate price groups as follows:-

    ————————–
    Group Name: AU
    Countries: Australia
    Currency: AUD $
    ————————–
    Group Name: US
    Countries: USA, Barbados, Tobago
    Currency: USD $
    ————————–

    Obviously it is not enough to include only the currency symbol as there are many variations of $ Dollars for example.

    It is important for all customers to be certain which currency the prices are quoted in – this is a requirement of most merchant banks for eCommerce solutions.

    The currency descriptor could be a drop down selector based on the current list of world currencies available – showing both the currency short name and symbol. The currency shortname must coincide with the ISO 4217 currency code list as it will be required by the payment gateway.

    Is this possible, please and how quickly? Happy to contribute towards the development of this additional functionality as i am sure that it will benefit all users of this excellent plugin.

  • I am also looking to be able to enter the prices for the different groups in a currency I set for that group rather than the base store currency and I think it a fairly high priority to be able to indicate on the front end what currency the price is being shown in.

    Hope we see this functionality soon ??

    It isn’t a cheap plugin but is well structured and support is good. Have now used the same company for other plugins including the tax options per country.
