I didn’t know I could still post here. sorry
Try this – type the text that you want to show up as a link – i.e.
but that is what I did
    and it didn’t work

It worked this time but I don’t know why it didn’t before unless not having something between the and the closing made all the other stuff change to coding for keyboard characters.

You tried that here? What browser are you using?

    firefox
and the code I just put in a href and closing a just turned the stuff in between blue
no I didn’t try it on this help page — that is the way I did it on the page I was working on but it is ok now.

see bottom of the sticky page below big photo

I am really confused now. That code you have in the entry where you wrote this is not valid code looks ok now all the stuff that begins with ampersands is gone and the code looks right.

It feels like shapeshifters in quicksand

    Is it working now?

yes. but I’m a little unsure why the code stayed stable this time. Is it because the needed text is in the middle?

I posted the link above so you could see.

Yes, that’s perfect :). Just try to be consistent and don’t rush or get worried about it when you are working on your pages. You can do this – yeah, sometimes weird things happen or we do something weird, but then just take a breath delete it and start over. You’ll get it :).

And if you get stuck again, just come back and (calmly ?? ) ask for help – that’s why we’re here.
