curl_error: ssl connect error on edit

  • Hi all, hope you can help.

    I’ve just helped a friend restore their broken wordpress site; I know a bit about IT generally but am unfamiliar with wp.

    Everything works apart from the most important bit….

    I can create a quick draft from the dashboard page and I can quick edit that post. However, when I try to use the normal ‘edit’ option or click on the post title itself, I get the following error:

    curl_errno: 35 | curl_error: SSL connect error

    As far as I can see there are no SSL plugins so I’m guessing using SSL for posting is a default setting.

    Has anyone seen this error or know a solution?
