Howdy. I just opened up our site’s wp dashboard and I see that there is a CleanTalk error. It is in the Settings page of the Anti-spam plugin. Here is what it says:

2022-06-08 20:30:13: Error occurred while checking account status. Error: cURL error 77: error setting certificate verify locations: CAfile: phar:///usr/local/bin/wp-cli.phar/vendor/rmccue/requests/library/Requests/Transport/cacert.pem CApath: none

^That error is from yesterday. Today is the 9th. As far as I can tell, the plugin is correctly activated. I even went so far as to delete the activation key and then click the “Get access key automatically” link. And it seems to have revalidated, no problem. After I did that with the access key, I also cleared all of our caches (static, dynamic, and mem) and the error notice persists.

Thank you for your time. We love your plugin and we have had it for years. Keep up the good work.

The issue should be fixed here:

    https://github.com/CleanTalk/wordpress-antispam/releases/download/fix-version/cleantalk-spam-protect.zip

    – Go to WordPress Administrator Panel —> Plugins.

    – Find the plugin “Anti-Spam by CleanTalk” —> Deactivate.

    – After the automatic page refreshing find the plugin again “Anti-Spam by CleanTalk” —> Delete. Confirm files deletion.

    – Download the plugin archive from CleanTalk the link.

    – Go to Plugins —> Add New —> Upload Plugin.

    – Choose the downloaded archive and press “Install Now”.

    – After the installation, activate the plugin, make sure that the access key matches the key from your CleanTalk Dashboard.

    Did it help?

Changes will be applied in the next stable release.

Hi there, I have been on vacation, sorry it took me 2 days to get back to you. Yes, please mark as resolved.

And, actually, I thought I had responded that your fix had done the trick, but I guess I had responded to a “no reply” email. Oops(!) My mistake. ??

Thank you for your time and we truly appreciate your plugin. Have a nice day.
