cURL error 7

Thanks for opening a support topic, we’d be happy to assist and try to determine what’s occurring. Firstly can you share the following information so we can inspect your current setup?

1. Your Site Health information. You can use this form to share privately if preferred. Please be sure to include your hosting provide in the form where asked or here if sharing here.
2. At what stage do you encounter this unknown error? (ie. After clicking on a particular button during setup). I noticed the Site Kit meta tag evident on your site, suggesting that you may have since gotten so far during the setup stage.
3. Do you have any firewall or other security measure active at host level which you may be aware of? These cURL errors usually indicate an issue with your hosting configuration.

This is the message I keep getting when trying to set up the Site Kit. I have tried multiple times and have even reset it.

“Oops! There was a problem during setup. Please try again.
Unknown Error (code: cURL error 7: ).”

It also says this:

“Your site may not be ready for Site Kit
Looks like your site is having a technical issue with requesting data from Google services.
To get more help, ask a question on our support forum and include the text of the original error message:
google_api_connection_fail”

Feel free to share the details requests and we’d be happy to take a look. cURL errors indicate that there may be some configurations you need to apply at host level in order to proceed. You’ll find one such example in a previous support topic.
