curl error 56

  • Installation of smip worked fine, and also the settings work. but the icons do not show up.
    There is a hint to visit the FAQ area becasue of cURL problems (Error 56).
    I did that, but without finding big help ther(“curl issue, please contact your server admin”).

    I checked with php info and all seems to be ok:
    cURL support: enabled
    cURL information: 7.50.3
    IDN, IPv6, Largefile, NTLM, SSL, libz: all supported
    protocols: ftp, ftps, http, https, dict, file, gopher, telnet, rtsp, tftp and the mail protocols are supported

    PHP version is 5.3.29

    The hoster is Strato, package is PowerWeb Plus.

    On another server (managed server with OVH) the plugin works nicely. So I guess it must be a communication/server issue.

    Wat is needed and missing? Are special php.ini settings required?
    Anything I could ask the hoster to do?
    Where and how could I get more details about the issue (log files, special php info files, …)?

    Thanks for the great plugin. And I really would like to use it on the Strato server also ??
