cURL error 35: OpenSSL SSL_connect: Connection reset by peer
-
Hi there,
We have suddenly started having a strange issue with the WP Mail SMTP Plugin.
We are using it on many sites with Send In Blue, and on many of these sites it has stopped delivering emails. When testing, it throws the following error:
cURL error 35: OpenSSL SSL_connect: Connection reset by peer
We’ve raised this with our server provider who said it’s a SIB issue – we opened a ticket with SIB who have said it’s a problem with the plugin!
When swapping out your plugin for the Post SMTP plugin (using the same Send in Blue details) the emails were delivering successfully. Which suggests that perhaps it is a potential issue with the plugin?
We have this setup on many sites and would like to avoid having to replace your plugin en masse if possible. If there’s anything you can do to help it would be much appreciated.
One extra piece of information is our server provider said the following:
“Sendinblue are proxying api.sendinblue.com through Cloudflare, and Cloudflare are terminating the TCP connection”
Again, any ideas you may have for a fix would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Ste
