cURL error 28

    About a week ago I started having problems sending emails with both plugins that send emails. When I click send or submit, there is a 30+ delay (spinner).
    Receiving the emails in my Gmail inbox is delayed sometimes over 5 minutes.

    WP Admin>WP Mail SMTP>Tools, Debug Events tab shows many cURL error 28 messages like this:
    cURL error 28: Failed to connect to gmail.googleapis.com port 443 after 75201 ms: Connection timed out (see https://curl.haxx.se/libcurl/c/libcurl-errors.html)

    For WP Mail SMTP Settings, I’m using my Google Workspace account for From Email.
    I’m using Google Gmail for the Mailer.
