cURL error 28

    Hi,

    With the advent of the new WordPress Tool “Site Health”, 4 site that I use Ultra on are showing one critical error:
    “Your site could not complete a loopback request.
    Loopback requests are used to run scheduled events, and are also used by the built-in editors for themes and plugins to verify code stability.
    The loopback request to your site failed, this means features relying on them are not currently working as expected.
    Error: [] cURL error 28: Operation timed out after 10003 milliseconds with 0 bytes received”

    These 4 sites are all on the same host. I called them, but he was unfamiliar with this, and of no help.

    I have other sites on the same host with different themes, and they do not show this error.

    There’s nothing recent in the error log.

    I’ve looked in the forums, and they seem to point to server config issues, but I wanted to check with you to see if you have come across this, or if this theme requires certain settings that others may not and can give me more information that I can take back to the host if that is indeed the issue.

    Hi Terry

    Thanks for all the effort and detail. I, unfortunately, haven’t encountered this issue before. The Ultra demo doesn’t appear to have a problem with that test: https://imgur.com/a/BCjcnJO. Have you perhaps tried re-running the test with another theme activated?

    Ah, right, forgot about that. I apologize. I should have done that.
    Switched to TwentyNineteen, same error.
    deactivated all plugins, no error.
    by adding them back in, one by one, I discovered that it is the Contact Form 7 PayPal and Strip Add-on plugin.
    I will contact them.
