    Hi,

    1st – I’d like to say What a Transformation!!

I’ve used Xcloner for several years. It’s been Great – but the New Version looks like it’s EVEN BETTER!!

    Good design. Easy to follow……

But I have a problem. Migrating a backup to a dev/test directory I get “CURL communication error with the restore host. We have received no response from the remote host” on ‘Upload Local Backup Archive To Remote Host’ stage.

I suspect it might be Hosting related – but would appreciate advice on how this might be circumvented

    Regards,

    Mike

Hi Mike, there should be an file log called xcloner_restore.log on your restore host, please try and see if you spot any error there.

In any case, if this option fails, you can always transfer the backup through ftp to the new host manually and then simply skip to the next step in XCloner Restore.

I did posted an update to the 4.0.1 package, can you try and reinstall XCloner and see if you get more text on the communication error, it should append now the full response even if it’s not a valid json.

I’ve posted another fix in the latest 4.0.1 package that deals with the upload process, please do try and see if you still have issues.

    Thank you
