Curious about line items in wp_redirection_items database table
-
I had occasion to employ Eric Daam’s fix for the bug in the Redirection plug-in*, and while I was deleting the offending line in the wp_redirection_items table I noticed something that I don’t understand. All of the redirects from the Redirection plugin have a group_id of 1. But there is another set of redirects that have a group_id of 2. As far as I can tell, these lines are from pages that I either renamed or moved in the hierarchy while I was still in development. Just wondering if WordPress adds these redirects by default if you change a page name or change the hierarchy. If so, I’ll know to go back and delete them next time I have a site in development.
