    Dear community, dear support,

For months now I got a constant warning about Cumulative Layout Shifts all throughout my website, gathered from actual/real user data collected by Chrome on mobile devices (CrUX data) while the page insights lab test always shows a perfect cls=0.

The difference is: Actual Users fill out the Quizzes and get the CLS as soon as the Results replace the questions – resulting in shifting and scrolling to the top.

Cumulative Layout Shift is part of the pretty new “web core vitals” in google page speed and is also reported in Google search console.

Is there a solution for this – or a workaround? Maybe if the filled out questions stayed in place and the result is only added, the CLS would not be red flagged?

At the moment CLS is not considered an actual ranking signal but I can imagine a lot of other users might get the warning too and will never find out the reason.

If you want to try it yourself you best install the “web vitals”-addon for Chrome by addyosmani, fill out your quiz and see, how “Cumulative Layout Shift”-value raises (click on the now red icon next to the search bar).

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]
