Thanks for creating CVS to Webpage! I am excited to add a functional excel file to my WordPress site, but I am afraid I might be doing something wrong. I am not a programer. When I try to upload my spreadsheet using the settings depicted below, nothing happens.

ps: I also added this code to my webpage:

    [[pearl_csv_to_webpage_display filename = FP Calculator.csv]]

I have noticed you are using two double brackets [[..]] in the shortcode . We need only one bracket [..] . And for the filename please use a underscore instead of space like FP_Calculator.csv or FPCalculator.csv (without space)

Please reply here if you need any further assistance.

    Hey Liz,
I removed the extra brackets and updated the file name as given below (no space). Still nothing appears when I “view page”

    [pearl_csv_to_webpage_display filename = FPCalculator.csv]

I then tried uninstalling and deleting the plug in with all files, reinstalling the plug in and uploading the .csv file again. Still nothing appears. I am not sure what I could be doing wrong.

    Thanks,
    Norm

After uploading, it states the file is stored in:
    upload/FPCalculator.csv

Not sure where to find that folder.

    Hi Norm

The upload folder is inside the plugin folder. Please check .

    wp-content\plugins\csv-to-webpage-plugin\upload

Otherwise please send the file or url .

    I will have a look.

    Hi Norm ,

Please make sure the plugin is enabled/activated.

    Liz

Thanks Liz. The plugin is enabled/activated. I checked and found the FP_Calculator.CSV file in the wp-contentplugins/csv-to-webpage-plugin/upload folder.

For some reason, it’s still not showing up on two different blog pages I embedded the short code in. I don’t know what the issue is.

Even if it ends up working, there is another issue. When I save an excel file as .csv, I loose the excel formula so it won’t actually be able to do a calculation on the web page. Can it work with a file saved as a .xlsx (that still contains the formula)?

    Thanks!

    Hi Norm,

re:the first point if you can send me the link I will have look.

Normally the excel files are converted to CSV format for displaying that in the webpage. You can convert the excel file to CVS after the calculation then you will get the sum in the CSV as well.

    Hope this will help.

    Liz
