    Hi

    I have around 600 products that are listed on my store.

    Once a week I update the stock from the suppliers csv file using the woo standard import/export.

    I remove all columns from the CSV file apart from SKU and STOCK QTY
    I match the SKU and then update STOCK on my store.

    I have noticed (obviously) that it won’t remove items that were removed from the suppliers csv file (when they discontinue an item) as it has no sku match.

    All I can envisage at the moment is cross-matching up 600 products lol ??

    Long shot (and possibly a daft question) but is there a workaround for this somehow?

    Many thanks

    @wordpressforumhelp,

    If you’re not supplying an SKU or Product ID, there’s no way to update that product and the job of the import module is to either introduce a new product or update an existing one, not to remove a product.

    Here are the options that I can see:

    • Manually remove the products that have been discontinued
    • Compare each new CSV document with the one from the previous week to find any missing SKUs that indicate a product has been discontinued. Copy over the information pertaining to the discontinued product and set the stock quantity to 0

    @wordpressforumhelp,

    We haven’t heard back from you in a while, so I’m going to mark this as resolved – if you have any further questions, you can start a new thread.
