CSV Product Import – Featured Image

    I am attempting to upload my products via the Import CSV section. all information imports fine except for the featured image. I have a field in my CSV called “featured_image” and am using the format: https://mywebsite.com/imagefolder/filename.jpg

    What is meant to happen here. Does the import routine use that url location for the jpgs or does it move the jpgs from that location to the uploads folder? Should I start with the jpgs in the uploads folder first?

    In any case a featured image is not being allocated to the product.

    Sorry for the slow reply here.

    What’s supposed to happen is the image should be downloaded from its original source and then attached to the post that’s being imported. We do have a new bug in that functionality right now but I am not sure if your issue is related or not.

    Where are your original images hosted? Are they already on the same site that you are importing the products to or are they coming from a completely different site?

    The images are on the same site in a folder in the root.

    That’s still going to result in the same behavior. Once 2.7 is released in the next few days, the issue should be resolved.

    Problem is still not fixed in the update

    Could you please open a private support ticket at https://easydigitaldownloads.com/support and provide a copy of the CSV you’re trying to import and a screenshot of your field mapping?
