CSV importer – post_thumbnail creates a copy of the image – why?

    We are importing over 2.600 posts into WP using CSV importer – all great with only one problem. When we import CSV file with ‘post_thumbnail’ defined for each article, your plugin creates a copy of the assigned image in the media folder (e.g. the picture 0033025l.jpg is already uploaded in the media folder and after importing CSV file with this image assigned to a post there is a copy of the image created as 0033025l-1.jpg … although this image is was not assigned to any other post before import of the CSV).

    This is a problem because with 2.600 images doubling with all the sizes it takes a great amount of disk space. Is this a glitch? Is there a workaround not to make a copy and just use the image already uploaded?
