CSS with columns

NEWBIE alert!!I know nothing about coding, so please bear with me. Our non-profit would like to list our staff on a staff directory page. I would like to put it in columns, with the staff picture on the left and then the contact details right beside that picture. Maybe listing 2-3 staff members on each row (so I guess 4-6 columns)? Can anyone give me the coding to put in the CSS box for the simple_staff_list plugin?
