• I have been tasked with updated our very outdated site with a new wordpress site.

The site was created on a separate domain and server with the provider bluehost, then it was moved to a new domain and server.

The CSS was working fine after this move.

We had to update wordpress and the permissions were so troublesome we ended up doing it manually. After this manual update the CSS would not be updated. The site basically ignores whatever we throw into the Theme Settings. This includes the box for our own custom CSS.

    Any ideas at all?

I have tried on many computers, clearing cache, refreshing page, setting theme to default.

EDIT: I have verified that the css filed shows the changes, the website is just not showing it. It is not showing on over either chrome or firefox, on multiple computers and even mobile.

The best thing for you, if I understand correctly your problem, would be to build a child theme with your custom css, since you kept your css safe, right?
So you could force WordPress to use your css, instead of trying to use the theme settings that don’t seem to work.

Yes, if i use my own child theme with all my own css it seems to work.

WordPress seems to be ignoring any changes i make to the css style sheet, whether child or parent. both are stuck in their respective child schemes they were before the manual wordpress update =/
