@nellygrl – It appears your Lightbox Effects may not be working correctly as well, you might have a conflict with another plugin … or it could be the current theme interfering with something.

You may also want to review your Permalinks structure as well, there are many benefits to not using the default standard it appears you are using … you could consider, for example, “Post name” or “Month name” instead.

    Thanks!

    Hi Cais,

    Thanks for your response.

I tried disabling all my plugins but NextGen, but the issue persisted, ruling out a conflict with another plugin.

I also changed my permalink structure to month and name and the problem is persisting.

So I’m guessing there’s some type of theme conflict. Do you have any idea what types of layout elements might cause an issue like this with the plugin? I just don’t understand how it couldn;t be grabbing the CSS. I used Chrome’s inspector to look at the galleries and while they have all the style classes, the attributes are not being applied.

Would you suggest manually linking the NextGen stylesheets in my header maybe?

@nellygrl – In some cases, you may need to use the !important directive on the properties that are not being recognized and/or being over-written elsewhere.

See if that helps sort out the style issues.

    – Cais.
