  • Yes, siteurl… (I’m on WP 1.2). (I’m the Anonymous.)
The style switcher uses a cookie to record your preferred style. My problem was that I was visiting the site as https://localhost/wp but the cookie was being written as to https://127.0.0.1/wp. As the script was reading the cookie from https://localhost/wp it couldn’t detect the style change.
Can you provide a URL so I could check the problem? I looked at your site but it’s using another style switcher (and it’s working).

Well, I’ve tried to implement this for two days now. Everything works, except for I can’t get the backgrounds pictures to show… and that’s the only thing I want to change. The example styles change, I can tell, but also without any background pictures… or colors. I have given up on this hack.

    Alex wp-switcher not working properly

Well, I did write the whole path also – I know this stumbleblock. Another one was finding out the directory had to be wp-style not wp-styles. That made a whole lot of difference! ?? Maybe when I forget all the trouble with this hack I’ll try and install it again. Such a pity. WordPress is really nice, why is this hack so difficult and not very precise in the documentation?

Aahhh, finally! I reinstalled StyleSwitcher from scratch, and this time I removed the wp-layout.css and the background pic from the root. Voila! Very nice hack! ??

So I guess its the wp-layout.css
I was having the same problem as well. I will give it a try and see what happened. Wish me luck! ??
