CSS not working for (main) menu

    I have tried pasting several CSS codes to add a hover color effect to my menu (main menu which is present on the whole website), however the menu remains the “stock” hover option.. the code doesn’t have any effect

    I am hosting my website locally so I cannot link it, I think it’s worth mentioning that I am using Beaver Builder, Beaver Themer and a child theme of Beaver Theme.

    I paste the code into: Dashboard -> Appearance -> Theme Editor -> Style sheet

    Perhaps I am using the wrong code, or something.. Basically all I am trying to do is to add a color fade effect on the text part of menu contents, however I am having a really hard time achieving this. If somebody can help me out, I’d appreciate it

    Again, without seeing the code you’re pasting in AND the theme, no one here can tell you for sure what’s wrong. Seriously. That’s the end stop here ??

    Well I’m getting nowhere until I get my website online.

    Bootstrap is a library, it’s not a WordPress thing at all.

    I’m not trying to be difficult here, but at this point without seeing your site AND the code you’re trying to add, no one can give you the help you need. So since you’re not able to share that, I’m going to bow out of this thread.

    @ipstenu The reason why I mentioned Bootstrap at all is because Beaver Theme uses Bootstrap framework as it’s CSS base.. I thought that would help you give me directions to get the correct CSS code.
    I have no idea what it is, I just mentioned it because I thought it’s the “language” of CSS it’s using.

    I know, that’s why I closed the thread. I might get back once my site is online
