CSS not properly reloaded when refreshing with console active

  • Hello everyone,

    I’m experiencing an issue with my site where, when you reload the page with the devtools console open on chrome, css properties are not being displayed correctly and it completely messes the page up. Could someone please take a look and help me find the issue causing this?

  • Hello, I tried to reproduce the error but I cannot. The site you linked looks fine after reloading the page with the dev tools open as well.

    One possibility could be that dev tools might have throttling enabled in the Network tab. This can cause CSS to be delayed and break the appearance of the site. If throttling is enabled, please disable it.

    If that does not fix the problem, could you post screenshots of the page before and after the occurrence of the bug? Since I am unable to reproduce it on my end, maybe a screenshot might help in debugging.

    Hey @dhruvkb. I don’t have throttling enabled, I also tried disabling the ‘Disable Cache (while DevTools is open)’ setting and that didn’t change anything, same with Disabling CSS and JS source maps.

    Since this seems to be just an issue on my part then this isn’t too big of a deal.
