I am sure I have seen threads like this, but I have no ideas on where to go from here.

The story goes that I installed WP site locally and set it up. Did changed the DB entries (site, home etc.), I created a new virtual host on my apache, changed file permissions on wordpress etc…

The problem is that the site does not load all css files and I am getting 404 error on those files. The path of the css files is wrong and not sure where to change it. Also tried to disable any suspicious plugins and I still have the error.

Not sure where to continue from here, any help will be great.

Make sure your settings have the correct WordPress and Site URLs.

I’ve seen this occur when I’ve mistakenly changed both the WordPress and Site URLs to the root, when WordPress is installed in a subdirectory.

It’s usually one of those Doh! moments when I realize I have been working too late.

If that isn’t the problem, then please provide:

    1. Path where WordPress is running from
    2. Path where WordPress is installed
    3. Path to CSS files as they are showing up in your page source
    4. Entry for Settings -> WordPress URL & Site URL

The site URLs are correct. I still havent figured out what seems to be the problem.

    1. WP is running from virtual host vox.voxteneo.dev
    2. WP is installed at var/sites/vox
    3. CSS files are loading fron: https://vox.voxteneo.dev/assets/css/mobiles.min.css
    4. WP adress and site adress in settings is https://vox.voxteneo.dev

I hope this will give you some info on what is going on.

    Thanks for help ??

Are you using a plugin to load any mobile CSS, such as a mobile menu or is that CSS file part of the theme your using? Is that the only CSS file that doesn’t load? What about the main style.css file? Is it loading ok?

It would be helpful to know the URL of both where the style.css is loading from, and the URL of where it should be loading from.

With the mobiles.min.css file I’m not sure if that is part of a theme or a plugin.

I’m assuming that /vox is the web root?

I am not using any plugins for mobile CSS, that style is from the theme I am using. Main.css file is loading OK.

The loading URL of the css files is as follows:

    follows:https://localhost/vox/vox/plugins/wordpress-seo/css/adminbar.min.css?ver=1.5.3.3

I did search and replace but the loading url is still broken, as you can see it loads vox/vox/ where it should load only vox .

Same happens with the mobile css and it is a part of the theme. The theme is bade from scratch by the company designers.

And yes, /vox is the web root.

Thank you for help anyway ??
