CSS not loading on first load of website

thanks for all your help with this!

I contacted the website host (Hostagtor) and asked them to clear the cache at Host level. I also deleted and re-added WP Super Cache, then cleared the cache again and on Cloudflare. Finally I actually removed Autoptimize completely, but I still seem to be getting the caching issue relating to Autoptiize (even though it’s noe been removed!)

Any ideas?

That fact that you’re still seeing references to Autoptimize even when it has been removed, confirms the fact this is a page caching issue somewhere, but I’m afraid I cannot say where the cache problem originates from no :-/

I would disable WPSC & Cloudflare first and clear browser cache first and foremost and then check if this still happens. If the problem is still there, go over your plugins and identify any that might also do caching and disable those too. If the problem persists, you will have to reach out to Hostgator again.
