CSS not loading?

  • After reading all of the missing color related posts, my issue seems to be different:

    I have a development site that I’ve copied to a staging site. The category colors on the copy looked and acted fine initially, but after a few hours have now disappeared. The legend has also become a plain vertical list of links. This is not happening on the dev site, just the copy. It looks like the Category Colors CSS file is no longer loading on the copy site? I’m not sure what would cause this, especially since it was working earlier (even on PCs that were accessing the site for the first time). In addition to refreshing the CSS, I’ve tried reinstalling the CC plugin to no avail. That makes me think the problem isn’t due to changing the URLs in the staging site’s databases, but what do I know.

    Anyway, any help is greatly appreciated.

    Wow, I just took a look at what’s in the generated Category Colors CSS and it looks to be the complete home page, not CSS. I’ve never seen this before. Can you list the plugin’s that are active on this site? I think we may have a conflict somewhere.

    Here’s what seems to be happening: the TECCC stylesheet URL uses the yourmdl.org domain in common with the rest of your site, but it is being 302 redirected to a different domain – https://www.marshalldistrictlibrary.org.

    Is one a dev site and one a production site? Have you set up redirect rules whether through an SEO plugin or some other means?

    Barry! That’s the issue. We are about to switch our primary domain to yourmdl.org and in the meantime are redirecting that URL to our current live site. Removing the redirect solved the issue. Thanks a lot for your help!
