CSS Inspector suddenly disappeared

  • Hello,
    I know there are other threads about missing inspector but in my case it used to work just fine and then disappeared so I guess it needs a new thread.

    I’m using the latest WP version with Vantage Theme with PageBuilder, Masonry, Widget bundle and CSS Editor (They are all updated, btw Love them all! It’s a piece of art gyus, thank you!). Everything was working great until suddenly the inspector in the CSS editor disappeared. I can still change CSS manually but the inspector is deactivated and there is no magnifying glass icon or anything to reactivate it. The plugin I activated after CSS editor is Google Easy Fonts. I deactivated it but the problem continues. I dont know what else to do (no idea how to check for java or php errors)

    Little update: I’ve just found the plugin that causes Inspector to disappear! It’s META SLIDER. But that’s strange – isnt Meta Slider fully supported and integrated with your theme???
    What shall I do? Is there a way to fix the problem? Or is there an alternative Slider plugin that would work with SO CSS Editor?

    Hi kasialuz,

    Sorry for the delay. To clarify, it’s very unlikely that this issue is related to Meta Slider as we specifically test for compatibility with that plugin. To confirm this I just ran some tests and was still able to use it without issues. I’m not saying it’s impossible, just very unlikely.

    Could you please put your website in the state you had it initially when posting this thread and then navigate to WP Admin > Appearance > Custom CSS and open the visual view. (preface: this next sentence isn’t really intended for you – it’s more for others) Then click the inspector button at the bottom of the page. If this doesn’t work as desired, could you send me the contents of your browser’s console? Please refer to this guide on how to access your browser console.
