CSS help with theme tweaks – full width, responsive, visual composer

  • We are quite new to visual composer and responsive themes with parallax and having a few issues with tweaks:

    I am trying to set a different background colour for only the home page but custom CSS appears to be over-ridden for this.

    The site is full-width, responsive and the text currently shows ok on the desktop but gets pushed differently for mobile devices. Is there a way to make this more consistent across devices/resolutions?

    Having trouble setting padding to align the bullet list section toward the bottom also.
