Have you tried different settings to see if it works on any of the settings? Try the Minimum setting.

I suspect you may have some parsing errors in one or more of your CSS files so when the files are minified then it causes problems.

Refer to this article in the section on resolving CSS conflicts to see how to check your CSS files for parsing errors:

Hi ?? many thanks for the quick reply

I have identified the problem file … it is the themes style.css … but when I go to the “exclude css files” … there is no dropdown with css files … and if I try to add the url of the file, and click “add item” I get the error message

“Please input an item in the box to add to the drop-down list”

    Many thanks again

If you’re copying and pasting the url try typing it in instead. Sometimes when you paste it, it doesn’t quite ‘register’. I’ll check out the issue of no dropdown of css files.

    Hi ??

I just tried typing in the url manually and still had the same result.

Is there anything else you think I could check?

Hmm, can’t think of anything. I’ve checked this function and it works so maybe it’s an issue on your site.

Do you want me to check this on your site for you? That’s the only other thing I can do now. If you have a subscription you can submit a ticket with admin access and I’ll check it for you. Also FTP access too if you want me to check why there’s no dropdown.

If you don’t have a subscription send me a mail at info[at]jch-optimize.net and I’ll send you a login that will give you access to the ticket system.

    Hi ??

I was in the process of trying to set up a test site to demo it … But I noticed if right clicked and copied the link to the css file… then right click and pasted it … the link appears just below the field … if I click the link … the link then gets added to the field and I can click “add” at this point.

So I am now able to get the link into the field and it does remove it which is great ?? and resolves the original issue … but the action is not that intuitive

Could it be because I am using a Mac? something to do with field validation etc?

Hmm. I don’t think so. I’ve never heard of that issue before on a Mac. I’ll look back at that function though and see how I can get it working a bit smoother.
