• Hi,

I’ve recently upgraded to WP 3.6.1 and have Version 2.0.21 of NextGen Gallery.

    I have two issues.

    1. The Highslide effect no longer works on any of my thumbnails when clicked. The ‘LOADING’ symbol just goes round and round.

Please let me know if this will be fixed because I am using Lightbox as a substitute effect, which works.

    2. If using the new shortcode:

    [ngg_images gallery_ids=”176″ display_type=”photocrati-nextgen_basic_thumbnails”]

The CCS conflicts with my defined CSS file in the ‘Other Options’ screen. Stored in wp-content/ngg_styles.

The nextgen_basic_thumbnails.css overrides my own defined CSS file. So all the thumbnails do not appear correctly aligned in rows.

Please tell me how I can ensure the only one CSS is used not both?

Many thanks in advance for your help.

    Regards,
    Indy

    Hi,

Looking in the browser debugger, I see that nextgen_basic_thumbnails.css is overriding my custom_ngg.css, which is stored in the wp-content/ng_styles folder (as stated in the plugin instructions).

    I have even tried:
    [nggallery id = 176]

    instead of the new:
    [ngg_images gallery_ids=”176″ display_type=”photocrati-nextgen_basic_thumbnails”]

    But still the same happens.

    Hi,

The CSS error is definitely associated with two or more shortcodes present on the same post/page.

I tried removing one of them (displaying the image using nggdb->) and found that the custom CSS was not being overridden.

This is a bug in nextgen?

Yes, it is a bug in nextgen. Currently you cannot use more than one gallery per page without running into problems.
Seeing that this bug has been known for more than 3 months now without any reaction from the developer of nextgen, I wonder whether it will ever be fixed or we should better move to another gallery plugin.
