Am I the only one in the entire WWW experiencing problems with @import rules? The LiteSpeed Cache WP plugin doesn’t consider and combine external CSS loaded with @import.

I noticed that trying to switch to Litespeed from Autoptimize, the latter could do so.

Wouldn’t it be more convenient to parse and also embed the target of the @import statement when combining CSS with LiteSpeed Cache?

  • You shouldn’t use import for CSS include. This is the worst thing you can do and will ruin your site’s performance.

Despite it has not been selected as the correct answer, this post makes a very good point about it: https://stackoverflow.com/a/23175775/4530868

You’re indeed right, but what we are talking about is LiteSpeed taking care of the @imports, combining all the external CSS in the proper order, cleaning and minimising it, as other performance plugins would do.

I quite see this lack as a bug of the LiteSpeed Cache plugin, very easy to fix though.

    Great!
Can you please let me know here what they say about my request, and if they plan to integrate this feature in some upcoming release?

    Thanks!
