css and image margins

I’m trying to figure out how to move text away from images. Seems simple.

I go to my style sheet, and I see ‘.entry img, and below it, entry .img .left, etc. I think I understand this; there’s a css tag for images based on alignment.

I add this to entry.img.left: margin: 4px, 15px, 2px, 4px

But no matter what I do, I see nothing changing on the blog. What the heck am I screwing up here?
