css advice :)

Hi, I am in the middle of creating my first wordpress template. I am doing this without tables in pure css, and it is blowing my mind haha it is so complicated to me.

I will be making this template available to the public once I finish it but I am having a couple of issues that maybe one of you could help with.

I want it to be the same in ie and firefox. The one issue I am having that I can’t figure out is the sidebar, starting with the ‘pages’ list starts lower in ie than in firefox.

And also for some blasted reason the background stops half way down the first post hehe…
