• First of all, thanks for developing such a great plugin!

I’m having an issue with cropping featured images. It seems that AMP adds a step to crop the featured image when you set it.

We overrode featured image sizes through a child theme, but the crop suggested by AMP still pulls the old dimensions from the parent theme. Is there a way to change this?

    Thank you!

Can you please check if this is the same issue as reported here: https://github.com/ampproject/amp-wp/issues/2684

You can also try this 1.2.1-beta1 pre-release which includes a fix for that issue: https://github.com/ampproject/amp-wp/releases/tag/1.2.1-beta1

    Hi Weston,

Thanks for getting back to me so quickly. I believe that is the same issue. Our images are plenty big enough, we simply want a slightly taller featured image for photography’s sake, but AMP pretty much overrides everything and crops them. I’ll try to install that beta (probably tomorrow) and report back.

BTW, after more research, AMP was just forcing dimensions based on best practices, not necessarily from theme or child theme dimensions. My mistake.

    Thanks!
