Cropped Thumbnails = black squares

    Hi, when I try to crop an image it says “thumbnail cropped” but just gives me a black square.

    The interface I get for cropping is slightly different to one posted on this forum too, I don’t get the preview on the right, just the pic which I can draw a crop square on and the crop button.

    What it comes out like..

    I’ve made sure the uploads and thumbnails have 777 permissions and gd thingy is working.
