Crop original images of a pecific product category

    Hi there

    I’d like to crop specific product images from rectangle to square. In our shop we have a second product image that makes the gallery to high in mobile view. So the goal is to crop that image for a lot of products by regenerating. But only images of a specific product category should be cropped. Any chance to do it with your plugin?

    We can identify the images by category or by a part inside the file name.

    Shop: [ expanded and put into the link field ]

    Also we are using the original image as product image. Will that be a problem for cropping? I installed the plugin and checked some settings but couldn’t see a way.

    @fletsch Do not use short links in these forums, that has been abused in the past and is expanded when found. I have expanded yours into the link field.

    Hi,

    There are some advanced rules you could use to force the products that have a specific category to filter out some of the sub-sizes, hence only generating the targeted ones, but this is only for image uploads.

    Unfortunately, there is no filter out-of-the-box for regenerating just a category of products.

    Here is a demo of how to setup the advanced rules for simplifying the products and product variations images.
