• hi,

I’ve been playing around with cron_schedules and have set the $schedules to which every time I want. The cron runs perfectly when someone visits the site as said at the codex “The action will trigger when someone visits your WordPress site, if the scheduled time has passed.”

But what if the site would not be visited, the scheduled time has already passed, and it was designed not to be visited regularly? How can those cron_schedules run without an external trigger?

Right now I have these code below:

    Thanks for the help

  • I don’t think there is any way of doing it without setting a crontab on your server. There is another discussion about doing that in the wordpress support forum.
