I’m set to use the WordPress cron in the MainWP settings, but I’m calling it through a server cron rather than setting up a cron for each function.
This seems to be working fine according to the last synced time for the sites and the server information tab for the last run cron times.

I’ve not had any emails from the site since installing.
No other sites on the same server have any issues sending email.

I installed the new Postman SMTP plugin as I know it logs mails. After setting it up, I sent a test message to the notification email address and it arrived without any issues.

Checking the log again a week later, no emails have been sent out from the install since my test one.

I looked through the help docs and (tried to) search here but all I can find are bits about phpmail/smtp/hosts blocking spam. None of these fit in this case.

Is there some obvious area of the admin (other than the notification email address option) that I am missing, like when to send notifications?

    Thanks for any pointers.

    Hi Bogdan,

Are you able to check my freshdesk post?

I started a ticket with one email address, but when I replied to the email it was from another, so created a new ticket.

After the second one was closed I’m no longer able to log in to give the access information requested.

If I try to log in on the freshdesk url I get redirected to the mainwp site where I don’t have an account so I can’t use the forgotten password link as it doesn’t recognise any of my email addresses.

All of a sudden emails started arriving.

Not sure what my original issue was but it seems to be fixed!

Thanks for the update, I’ll mark this as resolved.

I had what I believe is the same issue, crons were running, but I didn’t receive any notification emails even though there were available plugin updates.

What appeared to solve the problem was to log in to the Dashboard and go Plugins -> Auto Updates -> Plugin Automatic Daily Updates and switch to “E-mail notifications of new updates”, then save the form. I began receiving the notification emails, and was able to switch back to “Install Trusted Updates” and the notification emails were still sent.
