Hi … Have tried many cache plugins, and this is the only one that purges and warms with the flexibility that I need. I love it!

    However, I have a major problem…

Gator Cache is stopping all my wp_cron jobs. It effectively stops my website from working (still displays OK). The cron schedule does not restart, even after de-activating and uninstalling gator cache. I actually have to restore a full back-up of the site to get things working again (my host…TSOHOST… could not get it restarted either).

I have confirmed this by going through the process twice, eliminating all other possible causes the second time round. (was using wordpress 4.4.2 first time and 4.5 the second)

My site is edgazette.co.uk…it currently has the plugin activated if you’d like to investigate…would be happy to supply login details etc.

    Many thanks,

    Chris.

  • Your site is EXTREMELY slow. I BET your problem (slowness and CRON) is hosting related.

Find a better hosting company that knows WordPress.

GatorCache does not interact with wp cron. There is no compatibility issue there. However, if you running from a vps or hosting that supports crons, you should put the wp-cron on a real cron job and disable from wp-config.
