Cron Option vs. Optimization on Upload

    Hey ?? You provide an option that will perform image optimization process through CRON tasks. Does enabling this replace the optimization upon upload? Will the images be compresses and altered with a little delay – depending on the cron frequency?

    Hi @ewoolution,

    No you can use both methods. You have 2 checkboxes :
    – 1 for optimize on upload
    – 1 for optimizing in background, especially useful when you install this plugin on an existing website which would have a pretty big media library.

    Is it all clear to you ?

    Hey Charles,

    so in case of activating checkbox two a cronjob will automatically optimize both: images that have been uploaded already an images that will be uploaded from now on?

    As a result all images will be optimized?

    Exactly ! The optimize on upload in these conditions will only optimize new pictures you would upload quicker than the cron way (with cron, it will be optimized a few minutes after, instead of instantely).
