Hello,

It seems GUID param is not available in the Cron URL. Make sure you copy Cron URL from Email Subscribers > Settings menu and use the whole url while setting up a cron on your server.

I did double check and it works fine in 3.5.16 and has been working for while perhaps 1+ years and I verified the URL even copied it again to make sure and same.

/usr/bin/wget -qO- -a /var/log/wgetlog https://www.mydomain.com/?es=cron&guid=xxxxxx-xxxxxx-xxxxxx-xxxxxx-xxxxxx > /dev/null 2>&1

I found the problem. Just for fun I changed http to https and that solved it!
The URL in settings/cron is http.

getting the same error, but my url is with https

{“status”:”ERROR”,”es_remaining_email_count”:100,”message”:”EMPTY_CRON_GUID”}

it’s a vserver and i raised the limit to 150 mails per hour.

It seems GUID is missing in Cron Url.

Please confirm you have set the GUID.

now tried something different

your advice is -> /usr/bin/wget -O – -q https://www.yourwebsite.com/?es=cron&guid=evnloh-eqotdy-fmswkp-oqwlgp-gbuzak

i had to turn it into -> wget -O – -q “https://www.yourwebsite.com/?es=cron&guid=evnloh-eqotdy-fmswkp-oqwlgp-gbuzak”

now it gives me

{“status”:”SUCCESS”,”es_remaining_email_count”:0}

issue not resolved! notification is sent twice.

if i disable wp-cron and set a manual cronjob for this… is it really necessary to create another cronjob for your plugin? seems thats problem to get fixed.

Do i have to enter this whole text curl –silent “https://www.yourwebsite.com/?es=cron&guid=evnloh-eqotdy-fmswkp-oqwlgp-gbuzak” > /dev/null 2>&1 with all the spaces and quotes and dashes?
