Hello. I’m getting a minor issue which for all I know could well lead to worse things! I’m not even certain that it’s from this plugin or if it’s an interfacing issue between WooCommerce and Zettle..

My issue is – “The scheduled event zettle.queue.cron is late to run. Your site still works, but this may indicate that scheduling posts or automated updates may not work as intended”

I don’t use any .cron access plugins or anything, goes a bit beyond what I’m comfortable with. Bog standard Windows 11 setup on the Legion 5P. Plugins active 24, no health checker critical site issues.

Wordpress, plugins are fully up to date, always do that as matter of priority. I’m not one of those who likes older versions for ‘reason x’ – I just go with what the devs say!

Hoping someone out there has the answer or can point me in the right direction.

    Cheers!

    David.

    Hello @damax83

this question is a bit more technical than I normally receive and probably need to put it in front of our developers. In order to do that, I would want to ask you to clarify where exactly you are seeing this message? Is it in the logs? Can you provide us with the full log file? Any additional details

I don’t really know what zettle.queue.cron is for so when you have provided these details I will check with our developers and see if we can get you a proper response.

If you don’t feel comfortable sharing those details on a public forum, please open a ticket with our service desk. You can find the instruction for this here.
(please add the URL of this thread in the ticket as well)

    Kind regards,
    Joost

Hi and thanks for your response. The issue appears only on the WordPress site health checker function. It’s been an “active” minor issue on the health checker for a while, and to be honest, I’ve not noticed anything detrimentally affected by it. The logs, sure! I’ll open a ticket for that separately.

    Thanks,

    David.

I’ve just had a look through any pertinent log files, and there’s no erroneous Zettle-pos-integration fails or fatal errors. As I mentioned, I don’t even know if this .cron error comes from this plugin and was more perhaps wondering if it was a known issue with a solution. Looks like it may be a dead end from here! Cheers for taking the time to respond though. Appreciated.

    Hello @damax83

there are 2 items that we are working on at the moment; they are related to the webhooks that are used for updating the products and the Zettle status (from the product overview page). There seem to be a bit resource-heavy and require too many PHP requests, so we are working on limiting these requests. It’s a long shot, but that could possibly show up, but I’m not sure this has got anything to do with .cron events.
I hope we have a version available for you soon.

I will mark this thread as resolved but don’t hesitate to open a new thread if you have any other questions or find new details on this matter.

    Kind regards,
    Joost
