For a month now, the cron job runs, but does NOT update my pipes. This used to work, now it does not.

I had this problem about one year ago, posted here to no avail, and after about one month, it simply began working again.

Yes, the “test” buttons work and do update my pipes.

Yes, cron is working. How do I know? Because the following is the script I’m calling from cron:

    /bin/echo "START:date`” >>$HOME/public_html/callio.log
    /usr/bin/curl -o /dev/null -s ‘https://sub.mdsresource.net/?pipes=cron&task=callaio’ 2>>$HOME/public_html/callio.log
    ### /usr/bin/lynx -dump ‘https://sub.mdsresource.net/?pipes=cron&task=callaio’
    ### /usr/bin/wget -O /dev/null ‘https://sub.mdsresource.net/?pipes=cron&task=callaio’
    /bin/echo “STOP: date” >>$HOME/public_html/callio.log
    exit`

Following is recent output logged to callio.log:

    START: Mon Aug 29 01:19:01 MST 2016
    STOP: Mon Aug 29 01:19:40 MST 2016

    START: Wed Aug 31 04:19:01 MST 2016
    STOP: Wed Aug 31 04:19:40 MST 2016

As you can see, something is happening for >35 seconds each time it is called – but, ZERO pipes are updated.

    Please, advise. Thank you.

    Hi,

I did not say we stop support cronjob. I just told about we will try to improve that feature in the future.

As I checked with the link which Rolling Stone provided, there is the link for you setting up cronjob with each pipe.

    Best Regards!

I don’t want to spend $29 for something that may not work for me

What is the CLI to update each pipe?

    Hi helices,

As I viewed the clip at the bottom of that product page, it seems work. But it is up to you.

You could try to ask Rolling Stone – the author of that plugin for more information.

    Best Regards!

@helices, how did you set up cronjob with YOUR_DOMAIN/?pipes=cron&task=callaio? You could use same way with YOUR_DOMAIN/?pipes=cronsingle&task=croneachpipe&pipeid=PIPE_ID after you already install and activate my plugin on your site. Please replace PIPE_ID with a specific number of your pipe.

@virtualfaceus, do you guarantee that this will work for my setup?

What happens when wp-pipes is updated?

    @helices,

Whenever WPPipes is updated, my duty is checking if my product still works compatibility with the new changes of WPPipes or not. If it won’t not, I have to update my product, too.

After you buy it but it is not working on your system, please feel free to contact me via Contact form on my site. My response is making sure it works. In case I can not make it work on your system, your money will back.

@virtualfaceus, I will have (10) sites running wp-pipes. Does one (1) purchase from you solves my problem on all of my sites?

    ~ helices

    Hello helices,

After buy it, you could use my product an as many sites as you want. There is not any limitations with the amount of sites.

    Hi @virtualfaceus
I am interested to your addon, I see @helices is satisfied.
But, before buying it, I want to make sure this will work for me, I have 40 pipes, average 3 sources each, with possibility to add more.Do you think this will work for me?
Can I use it in more sites I am planning to build?
Do you have support in case I struggle to make it work?
    Thanx

    (@virtualfaceus)

    Hi @ewan-norman,

As I also answered helices, you could use my product on as many sites as you want. And if your server allows setting up cronjob with 40 commands, you could also use my product for your 40 pipes.

About supporting, you could contact me via Contact form on my site or ask on this forum, I will try to solve your issues with my best!

I bought the plugin but I cannot make it run in the cron job. Please help.

    0 * * * * /usr/bin/wget https://www.nameofmysite.com/?pipes=cronsingle&task=croneachpipe&pipeid=1 > /dev/null 2>&1
