CRON breaks with Shield active

    Hi There,

    Since installing (and activating) Shield Security I see that wp-cron is no longer working. Events are back-logging, and no event has run since the day I activated Sheid Security.

    I disabled Shield Security just now, and very shortly after than the wp-cron backlog cleared.

    I see no mention of “cron” in the support tickets, which suggests this is somewhat unique to my site. We also use Cloudflare for the DNS on the site. Is it possible Shield Security is blocking Cloudflare IP addresses?

    Do you have any suggestions?

    We’re not at all sure why Shield might be interfering with the cron… As you suggested this is probably unique to your site. Can you re-enable Shield and also check your PHP error logs please? I can only guess that there’s a conflict somewhere causing an error during the cron, which essentially breaks the cron flow.

    please also try reinstalling the latest version of Shield, in case the upgrade was incomplete.
