  • Hey @annascosmetics,

Can you copy and paste the contents of the file into https://pastebin.com/ ?

I’ll take a look at the file to see if it has been modified maliciously.

    Thanks,

    Hi Gerroald,

    Thanks for your reply.

I clicked on the button “VIEW FILE” within the scan results in my admin and a blank page opened with the following writing right at the top of it “We could not open the requested file for reading. The error was: file_get_contents(/home/admin/web/annascosmetics.com/public_html/wp-content/cache/supercache/www.annascosmetics.com/genotropin/index-https.html): failed to open stream: No such file or directory”.

    Please advise.

    Thank you.

    Hey @wfgerald,

It looks like for some reason it’s trying to reach its relative URL versus the absolute. Or it could be a permissions issue on the file. Either way, it does look highly suspicious as is a pharmaceutical company. Are you able to manually navigate to the file using FTP and share it? I believe you’re likely going to want to remove it, but please make a backup first.

    Hi @wfgerald

I am not familiar with dealing with this kind of issues and my developer is on holiday. So I don’t think I will be able to manually navigate to the file using FTP and share it. And I don’t know how to do backup either..

May I please ask you to guide me through this process?

    Hey @annascosmetics,

Do you have your hosting company information? If so, it might be best to reach out to them and share this thread. I’d be happy to try to help, but if you’re not comfortable with using FTP or a hosting control panel it may be a be difficult. And I do believe this might be serious enough to give attention to it.

As far as making a backup, these are several outstanding free WordPress backup plugins in the repository. Most should be pretty easily operated.

Please let me know if you’re able to contact your host.

    Thanks,

    Gerroald
