Hi Square Support,

This topic has been logged by a few other WooCommerce Square Gateway users but does not appear to be resolved. I am unable to edit the product description or short description in the WordPress Admin if the WooCommerce Square gateway is active.

I’m running WooCommerce for Square 2.0.8, and WooCommerce 3.7.0 on WordPress 5.3.2.

Below is a sample of the error I have copied from the Fatal Errors log. My own site reported this to me tonight, and when I disable the Square plugin I am able to edit products in the admin as normal.

Thank you for contacting us with the issue being seen with Square. I am happy to assist correct this with you. The first thing I see is in the System Status. It shows some software updates that should be done before proceeding further.
- WooCommerce: installed version is 3.7.0, latest version is 3.9.1
- PHP Version: installed version 5.6.40, recommended minimum version 7.2
- sober/woocommerce/cart/cart.php version 3.5.0 is out of date. The core version is 3.7.0
- sober/woocommerce/cart/mini-cart.php version 3.5.0 is out of date. The core version is 3.7.0
- sober/woocommerce/loop/result-count.php version 3.3.0 is out of date. The core version is 3.7.0

PHP has now been updated to 7.3 running WooCommerce 3.9.1.

Square appears to be functioning as expected now.
