Critical TIMEOUT ERROR with Smush PRO

    Hi,

    after using Smush Pro without problems for one week I have tried to use the “convert png to jpeg” function and while running it has killed my site. I am not able to login with my WordPress dashboard. It’s a TIMEOUT error.
    Is there a way to fix it with ftp?

    If you are using the Pro version, please use the Pro support to get help.

    From the above it’s hard to say what is causing the issue and if it’s even coming from Smush. If you can’t access wp-admin, I would try renaming the Smush plugin folder to disable the plugin on your site and checking if that helps. Next step would be to check error logs for a specific error that caused your site to timeout. It could be a resource issue. In which case, contacting your host to bump the limits is a good idea.
